Elke fuses painting with graphic design, exploring deeper layers of human emotions. Beneath each work is the almost childlike gaze of an artist fascinated by the torn (self-struggling) human being. She combines realistic works with abstract forms in clashing colours. With a certain rawness, she manages to capture movement, making vibrations tangible and emotions palpable.Every year, she purposefully withdraws into a safe cocoon for a while. She closes off the world to feel it better. Closes. her eyes to see better. Folds inwards to give more intensely.
